Hier, la NJPW tenait son show The New Beginning au sein de l’EDION Arena d’Osaka durant lequel Kazuchika Okada a réussi à venir à terrasser le “Dragon” Shingo Takagi pour conserver son IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.

Juste après le match, c’est nul autre que “The Ace” Hiroshi Tanahashi qui est venu le challenger, à la demande du Rainmaker, pour un combat lors du PPV à San José aux USA, Battle In The Valley, qui aura lieu le 18 février prochain. La NJPW n’a pas tardé à rendre officiel cet affrontement pour le titre IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.
