Q1-How are you?
-I'm doing great Jeremy, excited to be doing this.
Q2-For those who do not know you in France, can you quickly describe your career for us, how did you become a wrestler?
-Well my career started back in 2013, when I started training at the House Of Glory Wrestling school, which is run by the Amazing Red and Brian XL. I've always wanted to wrestle ever since I was about the age of 5, so doing this at such a young age is incredible.
Q3-Was it easy for you when you started Wrestling?
-Theres alot of hardwork, and dedication you have to have and put in if you want to wrestle. I knew that before hand, so most of the simple came as easy but there's still things i'm improving on. I'm always trying to up my game.
Q4-How did your parents react to you wanting to become a wrestler? and when did you know you wanted to be a wrestler?
-My mom is always supportive of anything I do, ever since I was little kid, and I appreciate her for that. My dad introduced me to wrestling when I was little. I saw it on the tv for the first time at 5, guys like Stone Cold, The Rock, Kane, Mankind etc. but it wasnt till I went to my first live show that My mind was completely made up. At the time I thought it was the coolest thing in the world. And I was right lol.
Q5-When you were a child, who were your favorite wrestlers? Why? (If you remember why)
-For the longest I was an Austin fan, as most kids were during that time. I loved his badass attitude. Somewhere down the line Chris Jericho became my favorite. He just oozed charisma everytime he came out and wrestled. I always wanted to be like him.
Q6-Who were your influences during your early years?
-I had several when I first started. Red and BXL being the biggest ones. Low Ki and Jay Lethal taught me alot aswell as Samoa Joe. I always admired Joe's style. Also puroresu (Japanese wrestling) influenced me a whole lot. I love the strong style and the culture over there in Japan. They treat wrestling as a sport, and take it alot more serious than here in the US.
Q7-Was it easy for you to work with them?
-Well I've never actually had a match with Ki, Jay, or Joe, just training sessions. Ki mainly taught me about the business side of wrestling, while Jay and Joe gave me more in ring tips. All 3 guys are definitly on my list of opponents I'd love to face. Whether it be HOG or ROH. I'm looking forward to that.
Q8-While we are talking about that, Who is your dream Partner and/or Opponent?
-Hmm, dream partner? If it were up to me i'd say my close friend Mikey Kidd, who is in my stable Ca$hflow Inc. over here at House Of Glory. He's training real hard, and if I could take over the world and win belts everywhere with a guy who came from the bottom like myself, that would be amazing. And speaking of "amazing", Red would be my dream opponent. We're actually in a 4 way match on April 24th along with Smiley, another HOG member, and JT Dunn. But a 1 on 1 match is what I really want. A close second would have to be Kurt Angle. I shouldnt have to explain why. His track record speaks for itself. Hes a legend in the business.
Q9-How would you define your style of wrestling?
-My style of wrestling would have to be what MVP would describe as is "Ghetto Strong Style." I'm flashy. I love to make it rain hundred dollar bills whenever I come out. But I'm the same guy that'll give you the hardest hitting Enziguri you've ever felt in your life, and end you with either a Cash-Flowsion (Shoutouts to Misawa) or a Currency Kick. Yeah I'm a bad dude lol
Q10-Do you fear the injuries?
-All the time. Injuries are inevitable. I try not to think about it though. The most I can do is stay healthy, hit the gym, and continue to perfect my craft.
Q11-What do you like to do during your free time?
-Well besides working out at the gym, I enjoy watching MMA and travelling. I'm somewhat of a thrillseeker. Anything new I'm up for it. But the thing I always love to do, is hit the club with my squad, Cashflow Inc. We always turning up, not just on Tuesdays haha.
Q12-What are your though on the indies?
-Theres alot of places on the indies I'd love to work at, aswell as alot of guys I'd love to wrestle. And honestly the indies are where most of the best experiences come from. The road stories, diner trips, shows, more interaction with the fans. Theres alot of good in the independents but theres also alot of bad.
Q13-Would you prefer to make a long career in the indies in company like (pgw,hoh,roh,...) like steen,neville,zayn,hero,... where there is a lot of very talented wrestlers or would you prefer to work in the biggest company where the talented wrestlers are buried?
-Well I'm not gonna lie, if WWE or TNA or any of the bigger promotions offered me a contract today, I'd sign asap. Thing is I would love to be ready for that type of environment. The travelling being one but most importantly the experience. And you get that experience from years on the indies. Guys like Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn, Neville, Cesaro, Harper are putting on the best matches right now, and they all had long and awesome careers on the indies. So id say its a double edged sword, but I would have to be mentally ready for that big of a challenge. I think im on the right track so far so lets see where the indies take me haha
Q14-Who are your favorite wrestlers in the indies?
-Some of my favorites today would be Ricochet, hes killing it right now. Roderick Strong was always a favorite of mine. Hero and Matt Sydal of course. And even some my fellow HOG mates like Anthony Gangone, Marq Quen, "Undead Warrior" Bonez, or Adam Falcon.
Q15-Few months ago, a man (Chris Dickinson) gave a chairshot to a woman (Kimber Lee) what are your thoughts on that? And on the intergender wrestling?
-Yeah I saw that. Theres alot of great female wrestlers out there, who can definitely hang with the best male wrestlers, but intergender wrestling isn't really my cup of tea. At times it has its place, I'm not against it, but im not really a fan of it.
Q16-The indies are very a funny place where wrestlers can do a lot of things (like match in slow motion, moonsault with the help of a fan,...) the wrestler play with the fans. Do you think this is limitless or do you think there are limits
-Thats the joys of working in the indies, more fan interaction. Of course theres limits though, like you can't hit a fan. But you can use a fan as weapon lol. Speaking of funny places, I'm teaming with Dan Champion this Saturday at Excellence Pro Wrestling to take on Cheeseburger and Steve The Turtle. I'm expecting lots of comedy. I might try to moonsault off a fan that day.
Q-17For you what are your best matches?
-One of my best matches I've had was my match with Undead Warrior Bonez last year at HOG: Uprising. We've wrestled twice, but what made the 1st time so special was we were hungry to make a name for ourselves. Hes also into that same style of hard hitting wrestling im into so I had lots of fun. Also the 1st match of myself and Alex Mason from HOG: Revenge Is Phenomenal, which was headlined with Ricochet vs AJ Styles for the World Title. Me and Alex have been in a heated feud and this match was more than just winning, we were proving who was the next guy from HOG to step up to the plate. We beat the hell out of each other.
Q18-What is your best memory in wrestling (as a wrestler and as a fan?
-My best memory as a fan would have to be going to Madison Square Garden the same Monday Night Raw when Triple H returned from his injury back in 2002. One of the biggest pops I heard ever. Fast forward to today and it would definitley be going on my first trip to Canada with my fellow HOGs to faceoff with a company over there called Superkickd. My first time ever leaving the country, it was an awesome experience. Tried poutine for the first time, and it was delicious. Wish I wouldve stayed much longer, but my business with Canada isn't done by far.
Q19-How do you see your future in wrestling ? What are your goals for 2015?
-The future for "Ca$hflow" Ken Broadway is looking very bright. First step is to win the HOG World Championship on April 24th, and from there it would, travelling to different places and leaving a trail of bodybags and moneybags behind me. I'm nowhere near my prime in this business, so I'll be here for a very long time.
Q20-Who or what motivate you to become champion?
-The benefits that come with being champion motivates me. I elevate to a whole new level when that belt gets around my waist. Its like leveling up and when you reach a certain level it gets harder and harder, and thats what I want. I want the guys that people talk about the most in pro wrestling and ill beat them easily. I won't stop till im at the top.
Q21-Who gave you the most valuble advice? What was this advice?
-Low Ki said it best when he told me "You have one mind, one body, protect it." Simple as that. That stuck to me. Meaning treat your mind and your body as the most important thing in the world. A healthy mind and body goes hand and hand, and definitley helps when it comes to wrestling.
Q22-Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
-In 5 years, I want to be that guy making the biggest buzz on the scene. I want to be that guy travelling everywhere wrestling the best on planet, ready for my big break. And if not definitely Japan. If I make it to Japan, half of my dream wouldve came true.
Q23-Wrestlers are very often on the road, so do you have any story for our readers?
-One story I have, that I never shared with anyone before was when myself, Alex Mason (yes there was a time we were friends), and Bonez were booked on a show in Maine. This is early into our careers so we were super eager to just wrestle. We didnt plan the trip well at all. We made it there by bus, which was about a 6-7 hour ride there. But we didnt have any hotels booked or places to stay at. The weather was terrible, pouring rain. We basically slept at the bus station woke up at 6am in the morning and had to walk like 8miles from one city to another on a highway just to get to the venue. We made it there around 9:30am. Mind you this is the winter time. So we ended up wrestling, myself and Bonez teamed up in which was a horrible tag team match. And long story short, we didnt get paid, and had to stay another night at some random guys house...If thats not paying dues i dont know what is lol
Q24-Can you talk about your first step in the business? Do you remember your first match?
-My first match happened to be in Maine aswell. And like that story Bonez and I teamed up to take on, 2 guys by the name of Ace Romero and Roadblock. I remember being super nervous but excited at the same time. Once I stepped threw the curtain everything went away, and I was just loving the moment.
Q25-It was the last question, do you have anything to say to our readers?
-Follow me on Twitter: @Broadway_HOG, on FB, and Instagram: @broadway.san ...I'm always posting cool stuff. And lastly, If it dont make dollars, It dont make sense!
